Lucius Jackson is an award-winning author of fantasy and science fiction. His work is set in vividly imagined worlds that serve as backdrops for the grand narratives of empires and the petty politics of poets.

He is the winner of the 2024 Penguin Random House & WNDB Black Creatives Revision Workshop for adult fiction and has received multiple fellowship grants from the Washington DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities.

His debut novel, The Messenger of Shadows, will be published by Storehouse Voices, an imprint of Penguin Random House, in Summer 2027. It is the first book in a planned duology.
